Data Mining Project - Building Bridges for our Children
Welcome to the OZT Data Mining Project!
What is the OZT Data Mining Project?
One of the primary objectives of OZT is to assist a generation in making informed choices when wanting to work with animals as a career. Over 50 million children show an interest in working with animals each year, but due to a list of factors less than 0.1% actually end up living their dream. The greatest obstacle isn't a lack of finances, but actually having access to a choice of careers and knowing what to do throughout their school years in pursuit of that specific career. That's why OZT is embarking on a three year project to create the world's first Career Preparation Path (CPP). It will allow the children to read more about each career, the animals they will work with, and gain valuable experience which is becoming compulsary to enter certain Universities and jobs!
To ensure that we do create the best CPP for each user, we are developing what is called a mapping software. It makes use of artificial intelligence to create a digital "roadmap" that guides the child along the way. As the child decides on one of the over 300 careers, the system helps by showing the best subjects to have at school, what the child can do to strengthen general skills and gain knowledge, where he/she can study further, which animals are linked to that specific career, as well as the details of the various animal organizations where experience can be gained. The system keeps on growing, which enables the children to use it right through their schooling years.
As the system creates specific "roadmaps" it obviously will also require correct and sufficient information. If there is information missing, it will compromise the effectiveness of the software and ultimately the roadmaps created. So the information on each career and animal page is vital!
With close to 4,000 pages of information (this includes the short courses and study guides) to develop, we will never be able to gather that much information on our own. It is because of this that we have created the data mining project where retired or financially struggling teachers can assist us.

The Income Generating Initiative
CURRENTLY ONLY OPEN TO CITIZENS OF SOUTH AFRICA
Positions Available
The Income Generating Initiative is an attempt by OZT to give back to our teachers for all the hard work and dedication in educating our children. As you might be aware, South Africa has one of the highest unemployment figures in the world, and the continuous rise in prices of basic goods, services and fuel leave our pockets empty, even before the end of the month!
OZT has an arrangement with our Sponsors that 50% and more of the money they give to grow and maintain the OZT Platform will be used for the data mining project. And we want to give it to you! The funds are split into the data mining of the information required on each Page, and assistance in compiling the Short Courses and Study Guides. There are currently just over 1300 Pages on the Platform that will require data mining.
To ensure that you do receive a decent income over time from the Initiative, there will be a limited intake of 30 people across the country. The intake will also be regulated to match the availability of funds received. This means that we gradually appoint the 30 people on a slide scale, so that work (and therefore your income) remains steady.

How does it work?
All you have to do is source the data from existing websites on the internet. Copy and paste it into a Word document, and ensure proper editing. Once you have gathered the necessary data, the document must be submitted to OZT for review and payment. There is no time limit on how long it takes you to source and submit the data.

Payment offered
As stated above, the data mining assignments will be allocated once a new Sponsor has joined OZT. We are contractually obligated to ensure that the funds of a Sponsor is used specifically for its Page, and not across the board for other Pages. Only when we receive more Sponsors, can more assignments be available for allocation, or when a Sponsor does give permission to use all of their funds for data mining.
Due to the varied amount of information required for specific classes of pages, the payment towards the data mining is scheduled into two groups. Certain pages, such as the species specific pages, require less information. An example would be the different cat and dog breeds, or a Page where we already might have some basic information on. The payment offered on each page is specified by two coloured buttons at the top of the page.
Therefore the amount available for the data mining will be as follows:
Green Button = R250
Blue Button = R400
On average the data mining on a page takes about an hour, and therefore a few pages per day would add up to a good monthly income. For example, with time permitting during the day, you could compile 4 pages per day, times 20 days in the month. At the lowest pages (Blue Button), this is R20,000 for the month.
The payment for assistance in compiling Short Courses and Study Guides will be discussed individually and per contract, once OZT has established a good report with you. Payment for a short course & study guide is on average R2,000 per page, but also takes considerably longer to compile.

What do I require to do the work?
The data mining process is entirely digital, so you will need to have access to a PC or laptop with a good connection to the Internet. As for software on your device, all the work can be done with Microsoft Word and an email address.
